Your building plot
When buying a plot of land to build your new oak framed house, it requires patience and time. the internet is a good source of information and there are numerous websites that you can take a subscription to access land for sale, be careful when subscribing to more than one site as you may find that they are displaying the same plots of land as others. There are a few sites that you can view for free and contact the owners of the land and deal with them directly. Ideally you would be safer purchasing a plot of land with at least outlined planning permission, or alternatively, full planning permission. If you are willing to take the risk of purchasing land without any form of planning consent, we would strongly recommend you seek the advice of a planning consultant who will assess the possibilities of you being successful in your planning application. In the UK there are somewhere in the region of 20,000 self build projects undertaken every year.

team in developing the timber frame house that works for you and we will explore your visions and look to incorporate them into your perfect home.
We work hard to build an open and trusting relationship with all of our clients and encourage all parties to be open in discussion with the aim of achieving a smooth, friendly and constructive working bond. You will be appointed your own project supervisor who will be with you through the entire build, the responsibility of the project supervisor is to assist you throughout the build, keeping you informed and up to date and helping you with all the questions and queries that you will undoubtedly have along the way.
Oak frame manufacture and home construction
The advantage with an oak framed house is the groundwork’s and crafting of the oak frame is carried out simultaneously so construction time is saved. You will be given the opportunity to visit our framing workshops where you can see our medieval carpenter’s hand making your frame. Once the groundwork’s are complete, the frame is erected within days and you get a real feel very quickly of size and appearance of your new oak framed house. All through the manufacture and construction there will be regular progression updates between us and you, so all the way through, everyone is fully understanding of where the build is at and what the next stages are. Along with the fully project managed new build service that we provide, we also offer a frame only service. We will hand craft the oak frame, and when your groundwork’s have been prepared we will deliver and erect the oak frame leaving you to complete the build through your own sources.

Once you have moved in, we are here to support you over the early stages of life in your home continuing your relationship with your project supervisor, giving you piece of mind and the upmost quality of service.
